    Page 2 - Redstone Rules
Page 3 - How Claim Expiration is Handled

    1. NO PROFANITY.

    • This rule includes skins and IGN's too, if it's inappropriate you will be banned until it's changed.
    • Profanity is allowed only in PM's if both players consent (see rule 2).
    • Abbreviations that include or imply profanity cannot be used either.
    • All item names and signs must remain appropriate as well.
    2. RESPECT OTHER PLAYERS.
    • No flaming, flame-baiting, or trolling (i.e. faking a PM through the /me command).
    • Inherently controversial topics, politics, and political symbols are not allowed.
    • Any form of trade scamming is not allowed.
    • Selling a copied map art without the author's permission is not allowed.
    • Any builds considered inappropriate are not allowed and will be taken down.
    • No copying skins or making similar IGNs to other players without their permission.
    • Do not attempt to bypass /ignores.
    • Builds made for the purpose of intimidating another player to leave their nearby claims are not allowed.
    • Discussions about a players ban is not allowed in main chat. Asking if someone is banned, why they are banned is ok, long discussions aren't allowed.
    3. NO ADVERTISING OR SPAM.
    • Advertising external servers/sites/accounts/games are not allowed, new players that log on and immediately advertise are permanently banned.
    • Advertising other servers/sites/games through discord is also not allowed. Inviting other players to your own discord is not allowed.
    • Do not advertise Safe Survival on other servers.
    • Spam of any kind is not allowed. This includes character spam, repeated messages, begging for items, unnecessary space fillers (►, ▇, », etc) and overuse of striking colors.
    • As a part of the spam rule, English must be used in public chat, and on signs and item names.
    • Links are not allowed in chat.
    • In-game trade advertisements must be limited to once every 10 minutes. Attempting to bypass the 10 mins by having multiple players advertise a single establishment is not allowed.
    • Usernames cannot contain anything disallowed in the spam/advertising rules either, long/spammy usernames must be changed.
    4. NO AFK OR LAG MACHINES.
    • Automatic/autokill, as well as fishing and gold farms that use portals, are not allowed.
    • Only one iron farm per player/city, the farm may have no more than 4 villages.
    • Areas that are creating significant lag and are affecting FPS due to entities/redstone/mobs must be modified or completely removed.
    • AFKing at grinders is not allowed. Includes using alts/second accounts to activate spawners, even if you're playing on your main account, is not allowed.
    • Redstone clocks cannot be left running at all times. Add a toggle to such circuits.
    5. NO HACKED/MODDED CLIENTS, X-RAY PACKS or EXPLOITS.
    • You will lose all ores, valuables, spawners found in dungeons, armor, etc. if caught using an exploit/texture pack/unfair way of mining.
    • Exploiting bugs, glitches, in game flaws or any other kind of exploit is not allowed.
    • The only game modifications allowed are Optifine, sodium, shaders, and Vivecraft.
    • Duping is not allowed.
    • Chat apps that allow you to move around are not allowed.
    • Auto-clickers are not allowed and are considered hacking.
    • Using the lapis or clay trick to located diamonds is considered an exploit.
    6. NO GRIEFING, OR RAIDING, EVEN IF SOMETHING IS UNCLAIMED.
    • This rule applies to both unclaimed and claimed builds and their surrounding areas.
    • When in doubt if an unclaimed build is abandoned and reclaimable, ask a moderator for a check. Even if the build is effectively abandoned, you're not allowed to loot it: any valuable items inside will first be removed and placed in the inactive player's inventory.
    • Blocking public pathways, claims and warp exits is not allowed.
    • Raiding or taking from unclaimed/claimed chests is not allowed
    7. DO NOT CLAIM OR BUILD NEAR OTHER PLAYER'S CLAIMS OR BUILDS.
    • Do not claim land within 100 blocks of another player's claim, unless it is within 500 blocks of an admin claim/warp.
    • Land claims created in infringement of this rule will be removed at the other claim owner's request. You have 60 days to report the offending player if you want them to move their build or claim.
    • This rule only applies to the main world, not the nether or end.
    8. PLAYING ON AN ALT ACCOUNT IF YOUR OTHER ACCOUNT IS BANNED IS NOT ALLOWED.
    • The only exception to this rule is inappropriate IGN bans - if you're banned on your main account for having an inappropriate IGN, you can still play on an alt account.
    • Warnings that are given to one account may also be given to alternate accounts.
    9. REAL MONEY IN-GAME TRANSACTIONS ARE NOT ALLOWED.
    • Players are not allowed to trade real money for in-game goods, or vice-versa, exception made for trading in-game goods for donations (ranks) in the Store.
    • Offending players will be subject to punishment at the discretion of the server Staff, proportionally to the severity of the offense.
    10. GAMBLING MACHINES MUST BE TRANSPARENT AND FAIR
    • Falsely advertised gambling machines are considered scamming and will result in bans.
    • The odds for each prize must be listed clearly for the user.
    • Gambling machines and games must be verified by staff before being opened to the public or after being modified.
    • While you may make gambling games, machines, casinos, or shops or establishments concerned with gambling, you are not allowed to promote them in public chat, discord, on the forums, or via any in game method.
    11. PLAYERS CANNOT RUN BANKS, INVESTMENTS SCHEMES, LOTTERIES, OR ANY OTHER SCHEME THAT STORES VALUABLES FOR ANOTHER PLAYER

    12. COPYING EXISTING HEADS/HATS FROM THE IN-GAME SHOPS, DONATOR STORE, OR EVENTS THROUGH SKIN CHANGES IS NOT ALLOWED. THEY WILL BE REPLACED WHEN FOUND.

    • Personal/Player heads can be updated, but only 1-3 heads at a time and once per week.

    Code of Conduct
    • Friendship is an important ingredient in our community, but so is the safety of our players. Inappropriate comments, harassment, grooming or emotional exploitation is strictly forbidden, no matter if it is in public or private messages on any of Safe Survival's platforms.
    • Failing to comply with these rules will result in a permanent ban.
STAFF HAS FINAL SAY WHETHER OR NOT A RULE WAS BROKEN.
    • We take the time to think over the evidence and arguments from both sides.
    • Once a moderator declares that a player has broken a rule, the decision is final.
    • If a mod asks you to stop what you're doing, please stop. Failure to listen to a mod's request may result in punishment.
    • If you feel like you have been wrongfully banned, appeal on the Ban Appeals subforum. Make sure to read the Big Book of Ban Appeals before appealing.

    FAQ - FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

I donated for a nickname. How do I get one?
    • To set your own nick, use the command /nick desirednickhere
    • A comprehensive guide of the color codes can be found here.
    • Donators are only allowed one nickname change per week. After using /nick, you'll only be able to do it again after 7 days.
    • Nicknames must abide by the general chat rules (must not contain offensive words, swearing, profanity or spam; excessive use of the black (&0) is also forbidden, being limited to 2 characters each in the entire nickname).
    • Nicknames must not be used to impersonate, confuse or attempt to scam/fool other players.
    • Punishments for violating the nickname rules are as follows:
1st. offense: 1 warn + nickname removed for the rest of the week.
2nd. offense: 1 warn + nickname removed for the rest of the week.
3rd. offense: 2 days ban + nickname removed for the rest of the week.
4th. offense onwards: /nick permissions revoked.
    Are Iron Farms allowed?
Yes. However, only one farm is allowed per player/community. You are limited to 4 "villages" per farm ("village" is considered the part where the doors, villagers and where the Iron Golems spawn). The iron farm cannot be fully automatic (auto-killing).

Can I transfer my pet to another player?
    No.

    Do land claims expire?
Yes. The following rules apply to land claim expiration:
    • As a general rule, land claims expire in 90 days offline. After 90 days of inactivity, the claim will be deleted.
    • If a claim near a warp or spawn (500 blocks of admin claim border) has had no significant build or purpose given to it by its owner within 45 days of them acquiring it, it will be removed. A notice will be given 5 days in advance before it is removed. If the player begins developing the claim within that time period, they have an extra 20 days to finish building a substantial build. If there is still not a substantial build, the claim will be expired.
    • If you plan to be inactive for a period longer than 90 days, please notify a mod and we will save the claim for you.
    • Players are allowed to request any Staff members for information regarding when was a player last seen. You are, however, limited to 2 requests per day.

    ABOUT BANS

Your account is your responsibility, if you allow others to play on it and they break a rule your account will be responsible, as we do not know who is playing it. Please keep this in mind.

    Using Alts
Bypassing bans with an alt is not allowed! If you are found to be playing on an alt while your main is banned the alt will be banned for the remaining time left on main accounts ban.

By using a sold alt account - you risk your main account being affiliated with other users of an alt. Alts that are sold online are often used by many different players, if they break a rule and get banned, and you use the same alt, you will be banned as well.

    BANNABLE OFFENSES:

    1. Hacked Client Usage

1st Offense: 14 Day Temporary Ban
    2nd Offense: Permanent Ban

    2. Modded Client Usage
1st Offense: 2 Day Temporary Ban
2nd Offense: 14 Day Temporary Ban
    3rd Offense: Permanent Ban

    3. X-Raying
1st Offense: 14 Day Temporary Ban, All Ores/Gems/Valuables and found spawners will be removed.
2nd Offense: Permanent Ban, All Ores/Gems/Valuables and found spawners will be removed.

    4. Advertising:
New players that log on with no intent to play and advertise are banned permanently. Most of the time these bans are still permanent, except in cases where mods decide it isn't necessary.

    5. Duping
1st Offense: 3 month ban, players trying to help others dupe can also be banned
    2nd Offense: Permanent ban

    6. WorldDownloader Mod
    Instant 2-day ban

NOTE: When a player is permanently banned, all valuables will be lost (including spawners).

    PUNISHMENTS STACK.

i.e. If a player is caught flying, they'll serve a 14 day temporary ban. If, after coming back, the player is found to be x-raying, they'll serve a permanent ban.
Or, if a player has been previously banned for a hacked client or x-ray and has been found to break a rule (or any punishable rule) such as griefing, being disrespectful, etc., you may be subject to a stacked ban.
Warnings may also stack. If you have been warned for the same thing multiple times, examples being griefing or disrespect, you may be subject to a ban instead of an additional warning.

PERMANENTLY-BANNED PLAYERS' VALUABLES WILL BE CONFISCATED.
By infringing the rules to the extent of being punished with a permanent ban, you assume the risk of losing all your items. As such, permanently-banned players will not be allowed to dispose freely of their valuables, which will be confiscated, exception made to cosmetic items, such as heads, etc.

    ABOUT WARNINGS

We have a way of warning players now for any issues (foul language/disrespect/spamming/etc).
Warnings last for 60 days, and it follows the template below.

Three warnings results in a kick as final warning.
Fours warnings results in a two day ban.
Seven warnings results in a kick as final warning.
Eight warnings results in a seven day ban.
Nine warnings results in a kick as a final warning.
Ten warnings results in a twenty-one day ban.

Players with extensive amounts of warnings may be subject to significantly increased ban times.

Disclaimer: these rules may be subject to change and can be amended without prior notice.

    Safe Survival Redstone Rules

    Redstone General
All Redstone contraptions must not significantly contribute to server lag, client fps lag, and must be reasonable in size. Redstone machines cannot be fully automatic, running on a clock or running endlessly somehow. If your redstone machines are too large, or are causing performance troubles from the server, they must be modified or removed completely. Please keep rule 4 in mind when building large redstone machines.

    Entities & Limits
    • Animals / Active Mobs are limited to a max of 30 per chunk, Safe Survival's Farm Limiter will prevent too many from spawning if they're close to the limit.
    • Hoppers are limited to 70 per chunk and 300 in any 3x3 chunk region. (Minecart hoppers stack with this limit)
    • Chest Minecarts, and Minecarts are limited to 15 per chunk. Whereas hopper minecarts are limited to 20 per chunk.
    • Item frames are limited to 60 per chunk.
    • Droppers, dispensers, armor stands, paintings, stick pistons, and pistons are limited to 40 per chunk.
    • Observers are limited to 100 per chunk.

Remember that a chunk is 16x16 wide and 256 blocks high. To see the chunk borders, use F3+G on your keyboard.

    Redstone shops
    • Must be disabled when out of stock
    • Should be stocked properly, so that each dropper is ejecting the same amount of items.
    • Should have owner/contact information displayed.

    Flying Machines
    • Must be default turned OFF.
    • Does not work over claim borders (including subclaim borders)

    Casinos & Gambling Machines
    • Must be inspected and approved by staff before allowed. Once approved, you may not change ANYTHING or the approval will be revoked and you will face punishment.
    • When asking staff for an inspection, make sure that the machine is completely finished.
    • When inspecting your machine, you will be asked to explain its functionality and also how you calculated the winning odds presented.
    • All machines must have CLEAR instructions, including the winning odds for each prize.
    • All machines must automatically be turned off if ANY of the advertised prizes are no longer available.

    Farms, General
    • Auto Farms are not allowed.
    • Must be activated by a player for a single harvest cycle per activation. (cannot be continuously running)
    • Must always have a default state of OFF.
    • If it is a mob farm, mobs must either be prevented from spawning at all, or immediately killed by lava, including all drops.
    Iron Farms
    • Iron farms are limited to one per person or community.
    • Max 4 villager modules
    • Must have a default state of OFF (preventing golems to spawn)

    Hoppers
    • Hoppers are one of the worst contributors to lag for a server.
    • When possible we encourage you to cover the hopper with a solid block, as this will help reduce the lag the hopper creates.

    How Claim Expiration Is Handled

This thread is intended to clarify our procedures regarding claim expiration. It covers both the expiration of warp claims due to lack of build, as well as the expiration of any claim due to owner inactivity.

    45 day no development cases

A claim is eligible for 45d notice if all of the following conditions are met:

    • The claim is within 500 blocks of the claim border of spawn or a warp.
    • The claim has no significant build or purpose to it. Exceptions can be made if the owner is actively developing it near the time of the check.
    • The owner of the claim has had it for at least 45d.
    • A claim given notice would have no significant purpose/build. Quick low effort builds such as dirt huts don't count.
    • Only placed chests/storage do not count.
    • Claims with only portals/roads do count as long as they lead to something with a build/purpose.
    • If the claim is massive in proportion to the build on it, it can be resized instead of completely removed.

How we deal with 45d eligible claims:
    1. Two books will be placed in the claim owner's inventory. One is a generic book with info about 45d expiration, and the other book contains the claim coordinates, warp, the name of the moderator who issued the notice as well as the date that it was issued.
    2. After a minimum of 5 days, a moderator will reevaluate the claim to see if any development has occurred OR if the claim has changed owners. If neither has happened, the claim will be removed. Any valuables in the claim at that time will be placed in the claim owner's inventory.
    90 day no activity cases

A claim is 90d eligible if all of the following conditions are met:
    • The owner of the claim has been offline for 90 days.
    • The claim owner has not provided a valid reason to staff for it to be preserved.

How we deal with 90d eligible claims:
    1. We check the trustlist. If anyone active (90d) is on the trustlist, it will be transferred to them instead of being removed. Players with higher levels of trust take priority. If the choice of trustlist members is uncertain, whoever contributed most to the claim's build will receive it. If no trustlist members have enough claimblocks, we will treat the claim as if no one was trusted.
    2. If no one is on the trustlist, we remove all valuables from the claim and place them in the owner's inventory. We then remove the claim.
Players can request to staff to have their claims saved from 90d expiration(not 45d) if they will not be online for a while.

    Asking for claimchecks

Things to know about asking for claim checks:
    • Claims will not be "saved" for certain players. First come first serve.
    • You must have enough claimblocks for the claim to be transferred to you.
    • We will not allow more than 2 claim checks per player, per day. (resets at 12:00am EST)
If an inactive player returns, the player who has received their claim(s) is under no obligation to give them back to the original owner.

Permanently banned players do not get to decide where their stuff/claims go after they are banned. In addition, their claims do not expire until the regular 90 days have passed. This is in case they are unbanned for whatever reason.
