    Full Ingame Name: ArcKnight
Ban Reason: Xray is not allowed! (First offense)
    Person Who Banned Me:
    SwiftPaint
    Length of Ban: 14 days

    Appeal:

Today I had logged on and voted as usual. Then get DMs from SwiftPaint regarding Xray. I did try to ask for more information regarding the Xray claim but didn't get too far before being removed from the server. They mentioned that my mines had evidence of Xray, an didn't say anything beyond that. I do know my mines run a 3x3 tunnel at around y=11. And then by sheer happenstance there's another set of tunnels I dug into awhile back. (They lead to someone else's base, I don't remember who) Those ones were a 2x1 tunnel with off shoots every other block.
As for in the nether. My portal and tunnels have also intersected with others since it's within the 2k block radius of 0,0. And sometimes I just random teleport and start tunneling in any random direction.
Additionally, I recall the topic of Xray being brought up recently in chat a few days ago, which may have prompted the search as well. Unless this is something the staff do routinely for all users, which in that case props to you guys for being diligent!

Finally, I would definitely like to know what "Valuables" covers. I do have a large collection of Gravel/Sand/etc. Standard building materials which, I definitely don't want taken since I do plan on using them. (Additionally Halloween Tokens that I do hope don't apply here)

In brief, I hope to be provided with more information and clarification. I will be happy to co-operate and provide any additional info as needed.

I hope whoever is reading/reviewing this has a wonderful evening!

  2. Hello Arc! Thank you for making a ban appeal!

I have pretty concrete evidence of your xraying tunnels that I would like to provide screenshots of. Additionally, these were all covered up by you with stone, but I had a few mods help me roll back the stone you had placed to cover up these mines to help show the paths you took to get to these diamonds. Also in some of these screenshots, I have taken the time to draw out / write and explain the paths you took to help better visualize what I’m talking about. Let’s get into the specifics:

    Evidence One:

In these 2 photos, you go straight down right into diamonds that were beneath your already made strip-mine that you talked about in your appeal.

    Evidence Two:

In the next 3 photos, You dug down a level from your tunnel, dug straight forward, and then dug down again straight into diamonds.

    Evidence Three:

As written, you had dug straight into the wall, went up a level, and then dug straight down into diamond ore.

    Evidence Four:

In these photos, you had once again suddenly dug into the wall of your mine, and branched out right into diamond ore.

    Evidence Five:

In a cave that you had explored, you had mined right into the wall straight into lapis ore.

    Evidence Six:

In this final photo, I had a fellow mod go into spectator and show all the mining paths you took to get to these diamonds, which are drawn out.

All of this evidence, and more, has made me and a few other mods conclude that you have been using xray, and the ban will be staying. I noticed you also asked what I had meant by valuables. None of your sand or other basic building blocks will be taken away as you had asked about. I had meant your diamonds/emeralds/etc.

I hope this has better explained what has led us to believe you have been using xray to get your ores. I also ask you to please take this time off the server to remove any xray texture packs / hacked clients. If you do not, you will be permanently banned the next time you are caught using such things again.

Thank you, and I hope to see you back on the server when you are able to return,

    ~Swift

Thank-you all for taking time to reply and put this together!

I had recently traded for an Elytra a few days ago. If that is one of the things that is being taken, I'd ask that rather than destroying it, return it to the user I got it from. I can't remember who it was Offhand, but it was for 27 DB.

There was also a Trident I had given to Ojoe as a reward of sorts. I believe since that's a mob drop that's unrelated to mining and I hope he will be able to keep that.

Additionally, all my Netherite Armor and Tools I had on hand prior to the ban was obtained legitimately. So I would ask to keep that as well. I don't know if it's possible to put a timestamp on when they were all crafted, but they should predate any and all tunnels you located.

I apologize here for making all this extra work for everyone, and you specifically Swift. I see you guys deal with this regularly, so it must get old fast. Please don't take this appeal as an attempt to get out of a lie, but rather just making sure everything was as it was being told. And I still realize nothing I say here will change the ban, but I still would like to wrap things up as professionally as possible.

So in conclusion, please don't see me in the future as a trouble maker. I am aware my track record so far is shoddy at best, but I still have plans to build and contribute to the server as a whole.

P.S. I know I'm in no position to ask, but if you are able to, please make a list of the stuff that is removed.

<edit> P.P.S. Will I still be allowed to vote while offline, and Will the rewards be claimable on return?

Yes you should be able to vote for the 14 days and upon logging in those rewards will be in your inventory.

All valuables include armor and tools made from iron/gold/diamond/netherite, so those items will be confiscated.
