Hey everyone, For August we'll be hosting a month-long team build competition, with signups starting today. Each of the four teams will be led by three staff members, building within the city theme in a large plot. Players will be assigned to teams at random using an RNG. The contest will be judged by various non-participating event staff over a 7 day period at the end of August, using a set of similar criteria as recent competitions. How to Enter: Create a written book with your name and rank, then throw it in the hopper at spawn's event center. To enter you must be Veteran rank or higher or have a donator rank. You cannot enter the contest after July 31st, 00:00 EDT Prizes: Many of the prizes will be unique to the contest, and spawn eggs will be given out. Each participating member of each team will receive their own prizes. You can expect the quality of the prizes to exceed any recent build competitions. Important Info: Sign-up Period: Time of this posting to July 31st, 00:00 EDT. Building Period: August 1st, 00:00 EDT to August 31st, 24:00 EDT. Contest Results: Announced on September 8th. Might as well submit my base since it's basically a city Also, how we will build? Will we get special plots to build in?
It's a team build; you're not allowed to recreate currently exiting builds. There will be a large area for each team to build in, which no other team will be able to enter.
I'm sorry for the bothering but I've never participated in a build comp before and I just have a couple questions. 1) If we are using our own items, are we allowed to collect the 'rarer' or more expensive items back after the competition? 2) Are we allowed to use map arts? If we are, are we restricted to using our own map arts? 3) Can we use heads? Thanks in advance, I'm excited to start.
Can I register by forum? I've currently suffering from connection issue and can't join before august 1st but I will be able to contribute to the event (and I need stuff to do in august :/)
I am seriously excited for this but uh ... I seem to forget everything every time I come on the server so if I forget to register for the event... you know what happened lol
