    FAQ - FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

I donated for a nickname. How do I get one?
    • To set your own nick, use the command /nick desirednickhere
    • A comprehensive guide of the color codes can be found here.
    • Donators are only allowed one nickname change per day. After using /nick, you will only be able to do it again after 24 hours.
    • Nicknames must abide by the general chat rules (must not contain offensive words, swearing, profanity or spam; excessive use of dark characters is also prohibited).
    • Nicknames must not be used to impersonate, confuse or attempt to scam/fool other players.
    • Punishments for violating the nickname rules are as follows:
1st. offense: 1 warn + nickname removed for the rest of the week.
2nd. offense: 1 warn + nickname removed for the rest of the week.
3rd. offense: 2 days ban + nickname removed for the rest of the week.
4th. offense onwards: /nick permissions revoked.
    Do land claims expire?
Yes. The following rules apply to land claim expiration:
    • As a general rule, land claims expire after 90 days offline. After 90 days of inactivity, the claim will be deleted.
    • If a claim near a warp or spawn (500 blocks of admin claim border) has had no significant build or purpose given to it by its owner within 45 days of them acquiring it, it will be removed. A notice will be given 5 days in advance before it is removed. If the player begins developing the claim within that time period, they have an extra 20 days to finish building a substantial build. If there is not a substantial build, the claim will be expired.
    • If you plan to be inactive for a period longer than 90 days, please notify a mod to preserve claims from 90 day expiration (see How Claim Expiration Is Handled for more details).
    • Players are allowed to request any Staff members for information regarding when a player was last seen. You are, however, limited to 2 requests per day.

    ABOUT BANS

Your account is your responsibility, if you allow others to play on it and they break a rule your account will be responsible, as we do not know who is playing it. Please keep this in mind.

    Using Alts
Bypassing bans with an alt is not allowed! If you are found to be playing on an alt while your main is banned the alt will be banned for the remaining time left on main accounts ban.

By using a sold alt account - you risk your main account being affiliated with other users of an alt. Alts that are sold online are often used by many different players, if they break a rule and get banned, and you use the same alt, you will be banned as well.

    BANNABLE OFFENSES:

    1. Modded Client Usage
1st Offense: 2 Day Temporary Ban
2nd Offense: 14 Day Temporary Ban
    3rd Offense: Permanent Ban

    2. Hacked Client Usage
1st Offense: 14 Day Temporary Ban
    2nd Offense: Permanent Ban

    3. X-Raying
1st Offense: 14 Day Temporary Ban, All Ores/Gems/Valuables and found spawners will be removed.
2nd Offense: Permanent Ban, All Ores/Gems/Valuables and found spawners will be removed.
Note: All valuables are confiscated regardless of if they were x-rayed for.

    4. Advertising:
New players that log on with no intent to play and advertise are banned permanently. Most of the time these bans are still permanent, except in cases where mods decide it isn't necessary.

    5. Duping
1st Offense: 3 month ban, players trying to help others dupe can also be banned
    2nd Offense: Permanent ban

    6. WorldDownloader Mod
    Instant 2-day ban
NOTE: Ban duration is subject to change depending on severity.

    PUNISHMENTS STACK.

i.e. If a player is caught flying, they'll serve a 14 day temporary ban. If, after coming back, the player is found to be x-raying, they'll serve a permanent ban.
Or, if a player has been previously banned for a hacked client or x-ray and has been found to break a rule (or any punishable rule) such as griefing, being disrespectful, etc., you may be subject to a stacked ban.
Warnings may also stack. If you have been warned for the same thing multiple times, examples being griefing or disrespect, you may be subject to a ban instead of an additional warning.

PERMANENTLY-BANNED PLAYERS' VALUABLES WILL BE CONFISCATED.
By infringing the rules to the extent of being punished with a permanent ban, you assume the risk of losing all your items. As such, permanently-banned players will not be allowed to dispose freely of their valuables, which will be confiscated, exception made to cosmetic items, such as heads, etc.

    ABOUT WARNINGS

We have a way of warning players now for any issues (foul language/disrespect/spamming/etc).
Warnings last for 60 days, and it follows the template below.

Three warnings results in a kick as final warning.
Fours warnings results in a two day ban.
Seven warnings results in a kick as final warning.
Eight warnings results in a seven day ban.
Nine warnings results in a kick as a final warning.
Ten warnings results in a twenty-one day ban.

Players with extensive amounts of warnings may be subject to significantly increased ban times.

Disclaimer: these rules may be subject to change and can be amended without prior notice.

    How Claim Expiration Is Handled

This thread is intended to clarify our procedures regarding claim expiration. It covers both the expiration of warp claims due to lack of build, as well as the expiration of any claim due to owner inactivity. Additionally, it explains our procedures regarding the transfer of expired claims and the protection of claims during long periods of unavoidable inactivity.

    Asking For Claim Checks

    Important Information Regarding Claim Checks:

    • All claims are treated on a first come first serve basis. Requesting a 45-day notice does not guarantee receiving the claim, the first player to ask for the claim after expiration will receive it.
    • The staff team allows for 2 claim checks per player per day (resets at midnight Eastern)
    • When asking about a 90-day expiration, staff will give a vague estimate of when a player was last on and are unable to give players exact dates.
    • Note: If a player returns after losing their claim, the player who received the claim(s) is under no obligation to return the claim to the original owner.
    • If a player were to be permanently banned, their claims are subject to normal expiration rules. Permanently banned players do not get to decide where their claims and items go after they are banned.

    90 day Inactivity Expiration

Any claim is eligible for expiration after 90 days of inactivity if the following conditions are met:
    • The owner of the claim has been offline for 90 or more days.
    • The claim owner has not provided a valid reason to staff for it to be preserved.

    90-Day Expiration Procedure:
    • A staff member will check the trust list. If anyone on the trust list has played within the last 90 days, the claim will be transferred to that player. The player with the highest level of trust takes priority when transferring claims. If all players on the trust list are inactive or no one on the trust list has enough claim blocks: the claim is treated as if no one was trusted.
    • If no one is on the trust list the claim can be removed.
    • When a claim is expired all valuables will be removed from the claim and placed into the owner’s inventory. Any non-valuable materials left in the claim in containers are burned before the claim is removed or transferred. Even in cases where the claim is transferred within the trust-list, valuables will still be removed and non-valuables burned.

    45-Day Spawn/Warp Claim Expiration

A claim is eligible to receive a 45-day notice if all of the following conditions are met:
    • The claim is within 500 blocks of the claim border of spawn or a warp.
    • The claim is underdeveloped and has no significant build/purpose.
      • Note: Exceptions can be made if the owner is actively developing the claim at the time of the claim check.
    • The owner of the claim has held ownership for at least 45 days.
    • Quick, low-effort builds and placed chests/storages do not count as significant builds in regards to a 45-day notice.
    • Claims with only portals/roads count as significant builds as long as they lead to something with a build/purpose.
    • If a claim is large in proportion to the build, a claim will be resized instead of completely removed.

    45-Day Notice Expiration Procedure:
    • If determined that a claim is eligible for a 45-Day Notice, two books will be placed into the claim owner’s inventory: a generic information book and the 45 day notice. The 45-day notice will contain the claim coordinates, warp, the name of the moderator who issued the notice, as well as the date that it was issued.
    • After 5 days, the claim is available for reevaluation. If no significant development has been made, the claim becomes available. All valuables will be removed from the claim and any items left in containers will be burnt.
    • 45-Day notice claims are considered first come first serve. The first player to ask for the claim after the notice expires will receive the claim regardless of who initiated the 45-day notice process.

    Claim Preservation Guidelines

A player is eligible for a claim preservation if the following conditions are met:
    • The player is going to be offline for a period of over 90 days.
    • The player has a valid reason for being unable to login
      • Examples include: study abroad, broken computer, etc.

    Claim Preservation Procedure:
    • If a player would like to have their claims preserved they must message a mod with the reason they are requesting a claim preservation as well as the amount of time they will be gone.
    • All claim preservations may only last up to 1 year. If a player has returned before their claim preservation has ended, they can ask for their claim preservation to be removed.

    Important Information Regarding Claim Preservation:
    • Claim preservations only save player claims from 90-day expiration. Player claims at warps can still receive 45-day notices and be removed.
