Hey everybody, As Summer 2020 is coming to a close, we want to reach out to all of you for your comments and suggestions on staff's performance lately. Your answers will remain anonymous to each individual staff member, and answers will not be shared publicly. This is to see how we've been doing and what're some areas we need to work on, whether it be ourselves or how we work as a team. We only ask that you be thorough with your responses and to not be rude and insulting, as that will not help anybody. Filling this out is 100% optional, of course, and please only fill this form out once so that our results aren't skewed. This evaluation will be open to the public for responses starting at the time of this posting, to October 4th 2020 at midnight. Thank you! UPDATE: The evals are now closed. Thank you everybody for taking the time to fill these out for us!
The only issue with that is people can enter someone else's username. The point of the email is to keep track and limit spam, if any.
That is understandable, it's okay anyway we all have emails in the forums so it's not a big deal, Thank you tho.
Personally I'm not very happy entering my email there but I believe google has an option to limit entries to 1/ip address which might be useful.
I suppose it helps get the point across. Insulting the worthy would be justified, and that would most certainly help. I don't mean to say that the staff are worthy of being insulted, just throwing out my philosophy.
No, being rude or insulting never helps people. That would be bullying, which is never okay. You can be constructive and critical at the same time, hence the term constructive criticism. There are many ways to provide helpful feedback without attacking someone.
From what I can tell, they probably meant a poorly worded way of saying constructive criticism, which sometimes needs to be a bit harsher pending on what is being reviewed. but just being rude or insulting, while not technically bullying if it's not done over longer periods of time, is still not Ok. Ya gotta find a way to build up the person, not merely tear them down.
Perfectly said. This evaluation is not the chance to attack any staff members because of personal issues, or any other reason. We're looking for ways to improve rather than backlash. Like anything else on Safe Survival, respect for everyone is a priority.
True, but what about punctual yet respectful criticism? Most of my criticism that I have ever given is taken as rude, but I hardly ever mean to be rude.
Even if you don’t mean it, it’s still rude. If I said “you are a bad staff member” to a mod, how would they take it? Sometimes it’s best to just be quiet.
